OCTH 703 Clinical Practice in Occupational Therapy V: Adult Lifespan II
This is an integrated theory and practice course that examines contemporary evidence in the literature, occupational therapy models of practice, evaluation and treatment strategies for health promotion and maintenance and remediation for the adult and older adult population. Occupational role function and dysfunction are explored through compensatory strategies, adaptation, remediation, environmental modification and equipment needs. Laboratory experiences include assessments, occupational and therapeutic interventions, neurorehabilitation, documentation, case studies, adaptive equipment, reimbursement issues and home programs. Students assess the value of low and high technological devices, environmental modifications and functional mobility for this population.
