OCTH 700 Professional and Contextual Issues in Occupational Therapy Practice IV: Community Interventions for Promotion of Health and Wellness

This course emphasizes occupational therapy's role in health promotion and disease prevention at the community level. Course content is aimed at enhancing understanding of population needs and theories applicable to health promotion and prevention interventions targeting diverse populations. Social determinants of health and the impact on individuals and communities with diverse health conditions is examined. Students will analyze epidemiological factors affecting public health outcomes and develop population-based program planning for at-risk populations.
