OCTH 355 Contextual Issues in Practice: Occupational Therapy and Health Care Systems

This course is an introduction to the foundation, necessary resources, outcomes, and system processes of the health care system as it relates to professional practice. Exploration of the characteristics, key stakeholders, various practice areas, financing, current patterns, and future trends of health care as they relate to occupational therapy occur. Advocacy for the occupational therapy profession is described along with basic application of the necessary skills needed at the various systems levels.
