MBA 638 Decision-Making in Financial Management

This course provides an overview of the use of financial statements, as well as interpretation and quality issues of financial data. It is intended to develop an analytical framework for using various methods of analysis to evaluate a firm’s current and future business operations and financial conditions. The course covers, in detail, how to analyze financial statements prospectively to develop budgets, forecasts, financing projects and corporation valuations. It also addresses funding issues as they relate to strategy planning, change management and decision-making. Many decisions will be derived by applying finance-based theories, models and skills.
