Animal Science (ANSC)
Admission Standards for Students Interested in Majoring in Animal Science, Animal Science/Pre-Veterinary Medicine Option, or Animal Science-Science Option:
- First-time students will not be allowed to declare animal science, animal science/pre-veterinary medicine option, or animal science-science option as their major unless they have met one of the following conditions:
- Earned a minimum ACT composite score of 20;
- Earned a minimum SAT of 1410;
- Earned greater than or equal to a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA.
- Transfer students will not be allowed to declare animal science, animal science/pre-veterinary medicine option, or animal science-science option as their major unless they have met one of the following conditions:
- Earned a minimum ACT composite score of 20;
- Earned a minimum SAT of 1410;
- Earned greater than or equal to a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA;
- Transferring in credit of at least 12 semester hours with a cumulative GPA of greater than or equal to 3.0;
- Received approval of the program chair.
- Current students at The University of Findlay may not change their major to animal science, animal science/pre-veterinary medicine option, or animal science-science option unless they have met one of the following conditions:
- Earned a minimum ACT composite score of 20;
- Earned a minimum SAT of 1410;
- Earned greater than or equal to a 3.0 cumulative high school GPA;
- Earned college credit of at least 12 semester hours with a cumulative GPA of greater than or equal to 3.0;
- Received approval of the program chair.
