EDFI 530 Emerging Literacy: Learning to Read
This course builds background knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice in literacy programs for young children (age three to grade 3). Using current research and inquiry methods, post-baccalaureate students seeking licensure or endorsement, will explore a continuum of typical literacy development across these ages/grades and determine how to differentiate instruction to meet individual learner needs. A variety of instructional and assessment strategies will be presented. This course covers all relevant state and federal mandates.
